Bicentennial Campaign
In July 2010, Nichols College laid the foundation for an unprecedented fundraising campaign aimed at celebrating the institution’s bicentennial and setting a bold course for a third century of educating leaders. By its September 2015 public launch, Securing a Legacy of Leadership, had itself secured $35 million towards its ambitious $45 million goal. By June 2017, more than $46.1 million had been raised to support strategic objectives toward the realization of a vision as a college of choice for business and leadership education.
In 2020 the College completed a nine-year, comprehensive campaign celebrating its 200th Anniversary. When the Bicentennial Campaign exceeded its initial goal of $45 million on schedule in 2017, a trustee suggested extending the campaign and offered a $5 million challenge that could be leveraged to add another $20 million to the campaign total. The challenge was met in FY2020, and the campaign finished at just over $66 million, an impressive and historic total for Nichols College.
The College is finalizing a five-year strategic plan focused on the three pillars – transformative academics, the Nichols Difference, and financial strength – which will give shape and momentum to an upcoming comprehensive campaign. As a result, Nichols College is seeking a dynamic, experienced and highly motivated Vice President for Advancement to lead the Advancement team and support the President and Trustees at this pivotal time.
